I often go in the library to see if there are new jazz books. In my last visit I found an amazing book. The title is "I segreti del jazz" ( The secret of jazz) by the well-known Italin musicologist Stefano Zenni. In short I can say "it's the book I always wanted to read". The book came with a CD-ROM where you can find more than 100 songs.This book is an impressive work because the author analyzes, in plain word, all the "secrets" that the giants of jazz use to do jazz improvisation and with a link to the song where you can hear what he explains. Everybody can find the answers to their own questions about jazz and the secret art of improvising in this book. This is a book that you must have. Unfortunately there isn't an English version.
