A talented accordionist width extraordinary sensitivity and a great intuition about composition he was and forever will be simply "The Maestr" as he has always been called by all his students and acquaintances.


MASTER

but his understanding is so profound that you cannot understand it.
You can only live it.

A Master knows,
but he knows in such depth,   where opposites meet,   where life and death become synonymous,
where existence and nonexistence don’t mean opposites,
where all rivers fall into the ocean,
in that depth a Master exists.

It is difficult to understand him
because understanding will be superficial
and all understanding will be more or less misunderstanding.

With a Master don’t try to understand him.
How can you understand him? How can you understand an infinite phenomenon?
You can live it,   you can dissolve into it,   you can allow it to dissolve into you,
that’s possible. ”

Master Ado Rossi had in Bolzano, one of the most famous and renowned music schools in the city. The school, located in via Garibaldi, taught, in addition to the accordion, the guitar, piano and flute and has been repeatedly awarded at national and international competitions with numerous prestigious awards.

While he was teaching, Ado Rossi founded the Club "Amici della musica", an enlarged Accordion Orchestra with guitars and, during certain periods, even a drum, keyboard and a bass accordion. This group performed throughout the region a number of prestigious shows in wich the accordion was always presented outside it's traditional uses. The Club "Amici della Musica" was not only an excellent ensemble but also a group of friends that liked playng music. During the rehearsals the Master Ado often give advanced music theory lessons that were added to the regular class hours.

When he closed the school in Bolzano, Master Ado Rossi moved to Poggio Rusco,and gave life to an Accordion Festival that soon became a fomous one: The "Biennale Gorni Kramer".

Also in Poggio Rusco Master Ado continued to teach accordion to many enthusiastic and talented students. He also founded a Club there for the appreciation of the Accordion and to allow students to play music together. He called this club "Akkordeon Club Poggiese".

We are back in 1990 when, as a young student, I was chosen by the master to perform in some television recordings with him. I was clearly very happy, he couldn't give me a more beautiful gift. The program was designed by the master. This is a video excerpt from the program that I like very much because we play a song that the Master had composed for me. ... or at least I liked to think so. In fact for a long time, during school years, the song was one of my "signature tunes".
